Free Virtual News Environment for Journalists

A free offer to editors and journalists means they can save time and expense by working in a virtual news environment. Web conferencing company, Marratech, is offering free on-line meeting facilities with 'virtual' news and editorial conference rooms. Qualified journalists will be free to use the rooms for their own interviews or for meetings with editors and publishers.

Said Marratech mar/coms manager, Dave Spokes: "We have set up on-line facilities for exclusive media use so journalists can experience teleworking at first hand while saving time and travel costs.

"They can invite other participants to download our free client software and join them in their own 'virtual' meetings. Interviews or interactive editing of copy or press releases can happen face-to-face, on demand without leaving home or the office."

As well as improving efficiency and productivity, teleworking, or using the Internet instead of travelling, is seen as an environmentally acceptable solution to the everyday meeting demands of business and commerce, while Marratech's high quality voice, video, interactive messaging system and whiteboard, provides an effective and efficient creative work environment.

Marratech can be seen on stand 27 at Wave, the Web, Audio and Video collaboration event at London's Olympia, on 17th and 18th November. Editors and journalists can apply for on-line access through the company's web site, www.marratech.com or by visiting Wave.
