Marratech offers Free Rescue Package For FVC Web Conferencing Users

A free 'rescue package' for users and resellers of FVC web conferencing solutions is being offered by Marratech following First Virtual Communication's filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the USA on January 20.

The global provider of cross-platform secure web conferencing has announced that FVC users concerned that their businesses may be interrupted can ensure improved and continuing services and support by applying for an immediate upgrade to Marratech.

"FVC customers are facing considerable uncertainty, so we are offering them a free web conferencing license, with a nominal £1,000 fee to cover training and installation," said UK Sales Director, Tony Goss. "We can have FVC users up and running in just a few hours with their own portal and meeting rooms using existing servers, computers and peripherals."

The offer is backed by more than ten years development and a growing global reseller network. It means even pay-as-you-go users can now have their own solution combining crystal clear voice, video, whiteboard and application sharing in an encrypted, secure internet environment. It allows multiple remote users to collaborate from their laptop or PC running Apple's Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows or Linux.

Added Mr Maynard: "This global offer runs until the end of April 2005 and is open to customers of FVC, resellers and distributors. We will help them support existing customers as well as place them in the forefront of a rapidly growing communications sector by taking on what is fast becoming recognised as the best-in-class and easiest to use web collaboration solution."
