Marratech
gives an immediate return on investment by saving on travel time and expense,
and offers other cost advantages. For the user, it runs on current laptops,
PCs and Macs. The only 'extras' are a headset/microphone and optional webcam.
Server requirements are minimal, so for a company employing the Marratech solution,
there should be no additional capital expenditure.General cost comparisons are difficult because there are so many variables, but a cost saving exercise between Marratech and a typical web-based solution showed owning Marratech to be less than half the cost, saving a company more than $40,000 a year in addition to savings in travel time and expense.
We compared an alternative service used on a monthly basis with writing down the cost of Marratech over four years. We allowed for 40 participants meeting in groups of ten for a total of 180 minutes per person, every month. That's roughly 42 minutes meeting time for each person, each week.
The cost per minute using Marratech was just 28 cents compared to 76 cents for the other system. The annual cost saving was $40,800 if Marratech was purchased. A saving of $33,000 was still achieved if renting Marratech.
Alternatively, on a typical finance plan, the cost per seat of a 10 seat Marratech license written down over four years can be as little as the cost of couple of cups of coffee per participant, per day.
