Operating Marratech on Vista

Windows Vista Installable Client

This installable client is available from here: Marratech for Windows

Once downloaded, "run" the installation file and follow on screen instructions. You may be prompted for a Vista administration password at this point, if you do not have this please contact your local support mechanism to provide this.

After the client has installed there is one more step to ensure Marratech optimum performance.

Enter your 'Programs' list and right click the Marratech icon, then select 'Properties' / 'Compatibility'. Select 'Windows 2000' from the drop down list, then 'Apply' and 'OK'

You may now use the Marratech client as per usual.

Windows Vista Webstart Client

Proir to attempting to install via the webstart client a compatible Java version must be installed. Please select 'Download JRE' from here and follow the installation instructions provided. This version of Java will coexist on your operating system alongside Java 1.6 which is shipped with Vista.

Once installed you may then browse to a server and join a room or click a URL in an email as before.
